DXC multiservice access nodes provide 50 millisecond backup of
radio links in a ring topology, using drop-and-insert of E1s at
each site. The DXC-30 placed in the base station controller duplicates
up to 15 E1 links for 1+1 redundancy. The DXC-8R offers carrier-class
redundancy in a compact, cost-effective unit that is ideal for crowded
base stations. This application ensures reliable backhaul of cellular
traffic.
This backup solution requires the RAD DXC only. Alternative backup
solutions require costly investments in additional radio transmitters,
transceivers and licenses.
This solution can also be achieved with the Optimux-T3 (instead
of the DXC) for radio links with a T3 interface.
