The Optimux-XLE1 can multiplex up to four Ethernet links over a G.703 satellite link operating at 34 Mbps. An application of growing importance is Web server mirroring via satellite. This reduces repetitive access to popular Web sites via overloaded Internet backbones, improving Web site response time and performance. The Optimux-XLE1 can be used to connect Web servers via Ethernet over satellite links without wasting bandwidth and without the need for handshaking or router configuration. The Optimux-XLE1 can also be used for high speed intranet download, corporate database mirroring, video streaming and Internet radio. |
