RAD's unique RIC-E3/ETH and RIC-T3/ETH protocol converters perform simple Ethernet-to-E3 conversion for high bit rate point-to-point wireless connectivity. They interface with standard E3 wireless systems of many vendors.
The RIC-E3/ETH and RIC-T3/ETH offer carriers and corporate networks a simple, affordable solution for transporting LAN over the existing wireless infrastructure. They replace costly wireline ATM or SDH links to connect to the POP.

RIC-E3/ETH and RIC-T3/ETH improves utilization of the PDH radio links to provide LAN-to-LAN services, or alternatively, to complement ISPs networks in an easily deployed manner. An additional advantage of the devices is full bandwidth utilization of the wireless media. They achieve 94.5%-99.75% bandwidth utilization of the E3 link, thereby reducing to a minimum the overhead associated with packet-based or cell-based technologies.
