GIF
- GIF is a data stream-oriented file format used to define the transmission

- Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions, a new Internet standard for sending
electronic mail defined in RFCs 1521
& 1522.
MPEG
- MPEG (Moving Pictures Experts Group) is an attempt to generate standards
for digital video (sequences of images in time) and audio compression. MPEG
itself is a nickname. The official name is: ISO/IEC JTC1 SC29. For information

RFC
- Request For Comments. A series of technical documents written during the
evolution of the Internet. Among other things, the official documentation
of Internet standards are defined in different RFCs. These documents are free
and are widely available.
SMTP
- Simple Mail Transfer Protocol is an Internet standard for transporting e-mail
defined by RFC
821.

- A modification of SMTP which enables, for example, 8-bit transport. See

- The "7-bit American Standard Code for Information Interchange",

- A Message Handling System developed by CCITT and ISO, made to satisfy most
