A Multipart Message
Presented here is an example of a
multipart mail message, composed
of the following parts:
- Some text of Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN
- A GIF image of Content-Type: IMAGE/gif
- A second GIF image of Content-Type: IMAGE/gif
- An audio file for PC of Content-Type: AUDIO/wav
You should pay special attention to the following features in this multipart
mail message:
- There is a general "Content-Type" for the entire message,
of type MULTIPART/MIXED
- The BOUNDARY:
- Is defined in the Content-Type field as: BOUNDARY="pc-ranlahat.ecitele.com:807722592:1402405494:1451687977:1917059072"
- Appears, with two preceding hyphens ("--"), between each
two parts of the multipart message
- Appears, with two preceding & two following hyphens ("--"),
at the end of the message
- The text part defines the "charset" as US-ASCII
- The other parts define also a Content-Transfer-Encoding
method, which is BASE64.
